Install your Voyzim eSIM on iPhone

Seven short steps to add your Voyzim eSIM next to your existing SIM, choose it for data and switch it on when you land. Works on iPhone XS, XR and newer running iOS 16 or later.

Step by step

Follow the steps in order. Each one takes a few seconds; the download in step three is the only wait.

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi and open Cellular settings

    Installing downloads a small profile from the network, so start on a stable Wi-Fi connection. On some iPhones the menu is called Mobile Service or Mobile Data instead of Cellular.

  2. Tap Add eSIM, then Use QR Code

    If your iPhone asks how you want to add the eSIM, choose Use QR Code. Any option mentioning transferring from another iPhone is for moving an existing number, not for Voyzim.

  3. Scan the QR code from your order

    Point the camera at the code in your order confirmation email or under My eSIMs in your dashboard, ideally shown on another screen. Tap Continue and wait for “Cellular Setup Complete”. It can take a minute; keep the phone unlocked and on Wi-Fi.

    Only have one screen? Save the QR image, then choose Enter Details Manually and paste the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your order instead.

  4. Label it “Travel”

    When iOS asks for a label, pick Travel or type Voyzim. The label appears next to the signal bars so you always know which line is which.

  5. Choose the Voyzim line for Cellular Data

    Select your new line when asked which one to use for cellular data. Then turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching so your home SIM never quietly uses expensive roaming data in the background.

  6. Keep your home SIM for calls and texts

    Leave Default Voice Line set to your home SIM. WhatsApp, iMessage and FaceTime keep working on your usual number, while all data goes through Voyzim.

  7. When you land, turn on Data Roaming for the Voyzim line only

    Open the Voyzim line and switch Data Roaming on. Leave it off for your home SIM to avoid carrier charges. Your plan validity starts with this first connection, so there is no need to do it before you travel.

    You can install the eSIM days before your trip. Nothing counts down until it connects abroad.

Menus vary by model and software version. If a step does not match your phone exactly, look for the equivalent option in your SIM settings — the order of steps stays the same.

Troubleshooting

Three problems cover almost every installation issue we see. Try these before getting in touch.

No signal

Toggle airplane mode on and off. Check the Voyzim line shows Turn On This Line as enabled and Data Roaming is on. Still searching? Go to Network Selection, turn off Automatic and pick a partner network by hand.

QR code will not scan

Brighten the screen showing the code and hold the phone still about 20 cm away. If that fails, choose Enter Details Manually under Add eSIM and type the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your order.

Installed but no data

Make sure Cellular Data is set to the Voyzim line, not your home SIM, and that the plan is active in your dashboard. Turn the line off and on again, then restart the iPhone if needed.
